Lorraine plans to annex the border kingdoms
of Navarre, Aragon and Catalonia as the opening
move for an invasion of Cordova. The rulers
of Aragon and Catalonia eagerly comply, but
Navarre refuses.
Genevieve shows Julien a note she found the
night before: it links Lorraine’s family
with the Merovingian kings. If true, it implies
Lorraine has a legitimate claim to the throne
of France.
A symbol on the reverse of the note leads Julien
and Calvet to a group of sorcerers operating
out of the catacombs beneath Paris. Have finally
stumbled on the remnants of the Knights Templar?
