Julien and Genevieve narrowly escape Lorraine’s
estate. While Julien recovers at Gen’s
apartment, King Louis dissolves parliament.
Paris is plunged into turmoil.
Julien is visited by Isabelle, who happens
to be a powerful sorceress in her own right.
Later he receives Father Calvet… and Inquisitor
Moricant, the archbishop’s brutal henchman!
Calvet, overcome with guilt, has informed the
archbishop Julien has been withholding information.
But when Calvet learns Julien could be executed,
he begins to have second thoughts.
